66427 I've made some bookplates for Dead Heat - they complement the cover design - so if you'd like a signed bookplate to stick into your copy, you can use the form on my blog to request one. If my html works, you can click the link here.

Brenda, so sorry I missed your question! My local bookshop checked today, and As Darkness Falls is listed as being in stock at the distributor, so bookshops (and libraries) should be able to order it in. It's only in the smaller paperback format though - the trade paperback is out of print.

66427 Brenda, I'm not sure how long it will take to print and be available form the distributor again - I'd guess maybe a couple of weeks? The Book Depository may be quicker, although you'd get the UK edition with the red cover, rather than the Australian cover.

66427 Brenda, I have no idea how many readers in Tamworth read/like my books, so I don't know how many people will be there - but I'd be pleasantly surprised if there's a big crowd! It might just be you and me... :-)

66427 I'm very much looking forward to meeting you tomorrow, Brenda! And yes, a shame that Shelleyrae can't make it, but maybe some time in the future we can have a get-together somewhere in the middle :-)

66427 Hi Shelleyrae, and welcome! The AWW challenge is great for discovering new writers, isn't it? I just wish I had more time to read... I could read only AWW all year, and there'd still be some great ones left to read!

I do hope you enjoy Dead Heat and my other books!

Hope you're still grinning as you read it, Kat - except for the scary bits :-) (But don't worry, absolutely no need to kill fairies...)

66427 I've heard it's a good price in Target, Kez :-)

66427 Hi Sally, and welcome! Yes, I understand it should be available on Kobo, and all the major ebook platforms. Hope you enjoy it!

66427 A few reasons, Rosemary - although I agree both covers are great! There are a lot of rural fiction books out now with a woman on the left side of the cover, more so than when Dark Country was first published; although I like the woman's personality on the cover, in the story she's a redhead, and some readers found that jarring! We also wanted a font with a bit more 'movement' and drama in it, and to accentuate the setting... so the designer came up with a new cover, and I love it :-)

66427 My two other books are As Darkness Falls by Bronwyn Parry and Dark Country by Bronwyn Parry

Dark Country has just been re-released in Australia with a great new cover - and a special low price!

If you have comments or questions about either book, feel free to ask them!

66427 Want to know about Dead Heat? Here's the back cover info:

National Parks Ranger Jo Lockwood is often alone in the wilderness, and she likes it that way – until she discovers the body of a man, brutally murdered.

Detective Nick Matheson’s new posting to the north-west of New South Wales is supposed to be an uneventful return to normal duties and a normal life. He knows organised crime from the inside out and suspects that the victim in the camping ground is not an isolated murder.

Jo is committed to helping the investigation but she has seen the killer’s face and now she’s at risk. Nick’s determined to protect her but as the body count starts mounting, his past and present collide, threatening the people he cares about most.

Trapped in rugged country in scorching summer heat, pursued by hunters who can’t afford to fail, Nick and Jo will need to trust each other completely, and use all their skills and knowledge in order to survive.

If that tempts you, you can download the first chapter from my website:

(It's not downloadable from Goodreads yet, but I'm working on that!)

66427 Hi Manda, and welcome!

I'm not sure if Book Depository will have it in stock, as it this stage the print version is only published in Australia. You could try booktopia.com.au - they currently have it on pre-order special - but Australian trade paperback prices may be more than you're used to!

It should be available as an ebook through the major online sellers, but again, at Australian ebook prices. (It's a complex situation...)

However, there are currently a couple of opportunities to put you name in to win a giveaway - there's a giveaway here on Goodreads (closes March 25th), and I'm also going to randomly choose one name from my newsletter subscribers in a day or so to win a copy.

66427 Welcome to my first Q&A on Goodreads! I'm celebrating the upcoming release (one week today!) of my third romantic suspense novel, Dead Heat and this Q&A will give me a great chance to connect with readers.

Please come in, help yourself to cyber-refreshments (there's nibblies and drinks on the table just over there...), and do feel welcome to introduce yourself!

I'll be answering questions during March, April and May 2012 - usually within a day or so (although sometimes I'm travelling, and sometimes my internet connection is frustratingly unreliable... but I will get back to you eventually!)
