72232 Genre/title: Literary Fiction - Endless Cycle

Author: Sean Mackaay

Synopsis: A girl stops moving on the dance floor and raises her head to the sky. Her eyes are closed with something close to rapture, hoping for that one moment heaven's light might shine on no one but her.

And in a moment the battle lines for generation Y's defining fight are laid bare. A generation promised the world on a platter - you can be whatever you want; you can have whatever you want; you can have it all; you can have it all now - coming to realise they too needed to fight for what they wanted. the aspirations of a generation spoilt on boom times and false promises shattered by reality.

Some seek fulfilment through faux fame, youtube and reality tv. Some salvation in hard work. Many accept failure.

Others turn to revolution. Looking to carve out a place in the stars with blood, bombs and social overhaul. looking to ignite their spotlight in the hallowed halls of history with RDX and PETN.
...this is their tale.

Formats available: .mobi, .epub, .pdf, .doc

If you request this book, please write your review as soon as possible.

The author requests the reviews be published on Goodreads, personal websites, Amazon, or wherever else you like to post reviews.

72232 Our own Roy L. Pickering Jr. Is requesting a review of his book Patches of Grey.

Synopsis:

Tony Johnson is a studious young man planning to soon graduate from much more than high school. Although his zip code places him in a Bronx tenement pre "rise of Obama", his sights are set far beyond the trappings of a humble upbringing. Collegiate dreams combined with falling in love with a white classmate put him strongly at odds with his father. He incurs Lionel Johnson's wrath for the sins of ambition and daring to be with Janet Mitchell. Seeing unrealized goals reincarnated in the eyes of his eldest son remind Lionel of what once could have been, and of what went wrong. His own upbringing in a segregated town established a bitter, prejudiced outlook that is the only legacy he has to pass down to his children. When his job and role as primary breadwinner are lost, Lionel's authority erodes and he drowns disappointment one drink at a time. This affords Tony an opportunity to assert independence rather than allowing history to repeat itself and his fate to be set by chance and circumstance. Throughout the course of a tumultuous year, Tony comes to learn that the world is not as black and white as he and his father's opposing mindsets would suggest.

The genre is Literary/General Fiction.

He is offering a print copy OR a PDF for anyone who wishes to review it.

He prefers book bloggers but is open to anyone willing to post their review here on Goodreads but would appreciate a posting on Amazon, B&N, and Shelfari.

Please review the book within four weeks from the date you receive it.

72232 Hi Ellie! I'm actually looking for reviews for my first two Mystic books. One is a pre-release review (NOT ARC) that's ready to be published and waiting. If you'd like to do that, let me know and we'll work it out.

72232 Hello to all who happen upon this. I'm Roy. If you're a book lover, and why else would you be here, my debut novel Patches of Grey may be your cup of tea. Or it may not. All depends on the flavor you favor. Reviews so far have been kind but I sure wouldn't mind receiving a few more. If you're an interested book blogger or GoodReads review poster, both me and my book are easy enough to find. I also love to talk about books in general, not just my own. Happy reading!

72232 Soul Journey The Greatest Secrets to Living the Life You Want by Lisa Cherry

If you’re looking for a how-to book, this isn’t the one. If you’re looking for a book that will change the way you think about life and help you find your own future, Soul Journey is the one you’ve been waiting for.

Rather than talk at you, Lisa Cherry talks with you. She gives examples of how her methods of positive thinking and doing work in the real world. Soul Journey will teach you how to follow your own path, and will help you point your feet in the right direction.

This is a collection of real stories from real women who’ve used the methods to forge a new path for themselves in life. From the ditches to the dishes, this book gives you harrowing accounts of life, death, and resurrection of the soul.

From an editor’s perspective, this book is very well written and has a flow that keeps you wanting to turn the page. Looking at it from a reader/learner’s perspective, I must say it’s opened my eyes to a lot of things I take for granted every day.

Lisa Cherry is one of those writers who put their heart and soul into their work. She’s writing about something she believes in and she shines on the page. Soul Journey is one of those books that can make a difference in your life; if only you slow down enough to read it and learn from the words.

Now for my rating. Because of the wonderful prose, flow, lack of errors, and moving message contained within:
5 out of 5 stars.

72232 Hey lady! I copied and pasted this over :)
Oct 01, 2012 06:15AM

72232 Hello hello....sorry it's taken me so long to say hi and well done Jo for such a helpful and fantastic idea and taking the time to make it happen! Well, I'm Lisa living in Oxfordshire, UK and I've just published my first book. I'm currently writing two more at the moment (the third one is very work related so it's more of a chore!).

I love being a writer and it brings nothing but pleasure to me...you can find me and my ramblings on www.lisacherry.co.uk if you like.

I'd love to hear all about you now xx
Our Indie Pick (2 new)

72232 Here's my idea:

You list your book in the author thread and we'll vote in a poll out of the first three listed.

You must be willing to provide copies to the group FREE.

If you're not selected this time, in two weeks, your book will be cycled back in with a new third pick.

If it sits for more than three rounds of voting, it'll be replaced by the next book on the list. If you want it cycled back in, you'll have to post it again.

GO! :)
