Ajax grinned brightly at his answer, shoving his chair back into the desk and making his way to the door. “I don’t know why, but your cat is starting to remind me of my cousin.” He replied laughing lightly. And it’s nice to meet ya, it’ll be a pleasure getting into trouble with you.” And with that he opened the door and made a very dramatic gesture like that of a butler, a playful glint in his eyes. “After you Cassy.” He said in a teasing voice. It was an on the spot nickname but he found that he quite liked it after he thought about it. He had many nicknames for people in his head but rarely said them aloud because as he had a history of being really bad with remembering names, that’s actually how he would put a name to a face, choosing to just keep names out of conversations so that they wouldn’t turn as painfully awkward as some of the other ones that he slipped up during. Most of the time they were thing that he noticed about them like if they were eating matcha pocky, congratulations, you have a new name! It tended to never really be that deep. For some reason, I’m this situation Jax had a feeling that he’d remember Castor’s name and nickname (the system doesn’t work very well as sometimes he forgets the nicknames too), though he didn’t really know why.

((Don’t worry about height Cassy, Ajax loves being the taller person because then he can rest his chin on your head and not have to raise himself on his tiptoes.

Is it weird? Probably, but he likes it anyways))

Ajax listened with rapt attention and didn’t look away from Castor once. Someone honestly should’ve taken a picture for how focused on another human being he was in that moment, for family was a very alien concept to him other than Lilith. But even then, even with how much he thought of her as a parental figure, it still seemed strange to him.
He watched and saw how he opened up so much to the arrogant Bird of Prey himself in that moment, DEFINITELY not expecting it, but feeling proud of himself (Damn, it’s like his default emotion even if it’s for something different like this) for being someone the other male confused in, even if he hadn’t noticed it at all.
“I’m not going to pretend that I understand what you’re feeling at all, but I’ve noticed that even though the homesickness never goes away for most people, and that goes for missing family too, but sometimes it gets better when you try to have fun, at least gets it off your mind for a little while. And with that in mind, would you like to go have some fun with me?” Ajax asked, standing up and pushing his chair aside. Was Ajax a good person to have a long conversation with about your emotions? No. But did he try? … Most of the time no, but it was a yes here. As different as their situations were, he really did think that it would help. Did he choose to run away? Yes, but you can hate someone and love them at the same time. It just hurt a lot more. Back two years ago and he didn’t even want to leave his room, Lilith made fun of him and literally dragged him from his room to force him to go fly with her and go pick on unsuspecting pedestrians. As rude as it might’ve been, it did it’s job and he managed to at least smile though it still sucked and even though it may not work for this brand new but still very interesting boy, he thought that it couldn’t hurt much to try.

Kane: The gentlemanly pretty boi who is kind of similar to Ajax and fucking hates it. He doesn't speak like a mix between a frat boy and a skater boi in my head like Jax does so extra brownie points

Not really having expected to get this far but feeling a strange urge to talk to this quiet but very interesting male -Ajax loves being around interesting people, keeps things interesting- he quietly ((*Almost dies of shock*)) listened to him, deciding to not tell him that he himself was a bird of prey. “What’s it like?” He asked after a few moments. “Having a twin that is. Did it make it harder to leave?” The long-haired heathen temporarily got distracted by the pretty azure hue of the inside of the quiet make’s wings before moving back to his eyes while expecting a response. Ajax himself was an only child, and he didn’t understand the pain of leaving someone you loved who loved you back as his parents were far from people in his life who were willing to be non-toxic enough to achieve that goal. He did have Lilith of course, and as much as he’d never admit it he did love her fiercely as she was practically his older sister, the parental figure he didn’t have before, but she also attended the academy though they never really got to see each other. Basically, Ajax was quite interested in learning what it was like to have that bond with someone that was set as you were born. There weren’t any people left in the room with them anyways so there wasn’t a need to keep up his front, and as someone who made his money off of becoming someone people liked enough to feel attraction to, he knew that this boy who he still didn’t know the name of was the type of person who only responded to genuineness and honesty, much like this peacock of a peregrine falcon himself.

Ajax was taken by surprise by the shy-looking boy's flash of anger, silent for a quick blissful fraction of a second before resuming his intolerable asshat demeanor again. "Damn dude, chill out. The one time I decide not to be an asshole, damn..." He trailed off, shaking his head like it was some comical joke. And yes, he calls everyone dude. "I don't want your life story, I was just making sure that you weren't going to have an anxiety attack." He felt his gaze wander slightly to the covered eye and was curious about what happened, but as he was reminded that the male was clearly not interested in telling him anything, he didn't ask.
