I want to read East of Eden. I listened to Anna Karenina on Audible and loved it.

For me it's
Kristin Lavransdatter. I want to read it this year - hopefully!

Lisa, I would like to read The Group, too, sometime. I bought it recently for my Kindle.

Audible has like 10 different versions/narrators of this and so does Amazon. Which is the best book version and best audio version to get/read?

Erika, my book club at work is reading
for September; can't wait!

I listened to it an audio from the library last year and that was the only way I could get through it. The audio was great, IMHO.

I nominate
Kristin Lavransdatter by
Sigrid Undset. It's been on my to read list FOREVER (I was named after her - my middle name), and I've never read it, it 50+ years, lol

And also on my Kindle Touch.
Margaret wrote: "From time to time I think of reading Kristin Lavransdatter but that seems a bit overwhelming to me."This is my #1 monster read for 2013 (my middle name, Kristin, came from this book, and I have never read it in 60 years!). The other monster reads for me will be Gone With the Wind, The Passage by Justin Cronin, Under the Dome and the Stand, by Stephen King, and Pillars of the Earth by Follett. This is so far......

I listened to aa/22/63 by Stephen King and it was awesome. Now I always listen to audio on the way to/from work, and then read another paper or Kindle book at home at bedtime and at lunchtime. I get in more books this way!

Everyone else has said it's really good.
Last week I almost stopped reading The Casual Vacancy by JK Rowling, but I stuck with it and end up really liking it! I liked all the characters and getting to know the whole town and all the stuff going on there. I think she's a really good writer and can't wait to see what else she comes up with in the future.

Also The Passage by Justin Cronin and Under the Dome by Stephen King.

Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset is a monster read.

I'm reading it this month in another book club; haven't started it yet. It's a translated book, correct, Holly Rose?
Sue wrote: "I thought I might read Gunnar's Daughter. Kristin Lavransdatter is very expensive to buy here. In fact I should get Gunnar's Daughter as I am going to Norway in March and take it with me!"I bought the e-book version of Kristin ($18.99 from Amazon) because it's too fat to carry around!
Alessia wrote: "Sue wrote: "I'm thinking of reading John Updikeor Sigrid Undset. Hope that helps. Some letters are not easy!! Will be interested to see what everyone else reads."
Thank you so much Sue, for rec..."I will be reading Kristin Lavransdatter too, as I was named after her (my middle name is Kristin) and I never read it before. I'm trying to find people to read it with me in March, maybe.
