I really enjoyed The Looking Glass Wars Trilogy by Frank Beddor (Alice in Wonderland retelling). I'm reading Pride, Prejudice and Cheese Grits by Mary Jane Hathaway. I'm liking it so far.

I'm currently reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, Flowers in the Attic by VC Andrews, and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. I've enjoyed Anna Karenina, but it is very lengthy and has a lot of character names. I'm excited to watch some of the movie versions. I'm reading Flowers in the Attic for the Lifetime book group. I also plan to watch the original movie and the new Lifetime version. I think boys would enjoy Aristotle and Dante... more so than girls. It's a quick read, but it's not what I expected from the synopsis.

I'm currently reading Afterparty by Ann Redisch Stampler, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, and Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan.

After True North: The Shocking Truth About "Yours, Mine and Ours", I'm currently reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick & Suzanne Young, and Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry.
Travis of NNY wrote: "Gulliver's Travels so far from what I remember 25 years ago having watched it many times as a kid the movie was better"I had to read a section of Gulliver's Travels for a Literature class, and I remember thinking the movie was better as well. But I hope you still enjoy the book.

Definitely donation box for me!

Princess in Love

I'm about half way done with Anna Karenina. And I just finished The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Now, I'm reading Princess in Love by Meg Cabot.

My husband and I just finished watching the first season of Game of Thrones.

Nancy Drew Mystery Stories. I think Nancy's adventures really piqued my interest for mystery and suspense.

The Jane Austen Book Club. A group of friends start a book club. Her stories influence the group to make changes in their lives.

Boo Radley from To Kill A Mockingbird.

I recently finished reading Cinder by Marissa Meyer and The Cruelest Month: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel by Louise Penny.
I'm currently reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. So far it is just okay. I actually think it's going to make for a better movie than book.

I just finished Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. It is the last book in The Infernal Devices series. Now I can't wait for the last in The Mortal Instruments series. And the movie comes to the theater in August. I'm currently reading the second book in The Princess Diaries series...Princess in the Spotlight.

I'm reading Divergent by Veronica Roth. I'm a little over half way through and it's pretty good so far. It has a Hunger Games/Giver feel.

I'm reading The Secret Circle: The Captive Part II and The Power by L.J. Smith.

I actually already started reading it for a different group, but other books have taken my attention so I'm expecting to finish by May or maybe even before because I'm already about half way done.

I've recently finished Life of Pi for the group. Also I've finished The Secret Circle: The Initiation and The Captive Part I by L.J. Smith; Three People by Isabella Alden; Felicity Story Collection by Valerie Tripp; Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher; and The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares. Next I will probably finish Anna Karenina and begin the next Secret Circle books.

I'm one of the few who didn't really like the book. I only gave the book 2 stars. I thought the first part was slow and boring, but I kept reading because I always finish a book. For me, thankfully, the book picked up in the second part. I did like the twist of there not actually being any animals on the lifeboat. Overall, the book was not my cup of tea but it was a quick read.
