Hi! I'm trying to figure out the best way to determine whether a User ID is valid before continuing to get the books on a members shelf.


We used to be able to check by looking at headers for https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/$... -- if your server returned 200, we'd proceed and get what we needed from the API going forward.

But now that's only working intermittently. Sometimes it's fine, other times it's not. Did something change? And, is there a preferred way to validate?
