Black-rimmed glasses, turtlenecks, and lab coats. Star Trek conventions, Comic-Con, and WOW.
Men who are ridiculously intelligent, maybe even Mensa level geniuses, and who personify the work “GEEK”.
They might be utterly romantic … or completely clueless when it comes to love.
It might be two geeky IT consultants who find a connection, but it could easily be a Math genius and the jock he tutors.
The choice is yours … as long as ONE of the guys is an utterly adorable geek.
Bottom Drawer Publications announces a submission call for short stories between 5,000 - 12,000 words, focused on male/male romances that have at least one main character that would classify as a “geek.”
We are looking for interesting and creative stories, well written and within the contemporary genre that will appeal to our reader’s imaginations. The stories will be published as an anthology.
Submissions close: Sunday, 1 September 2013
Please send your completed manuscript and synopsis, along with a query letter to submissions.bottomdrawerpub@gmail.com In the subject line of your email please put: Geeky Boy Love Anthology Submission.

Scientists and philosophers have long studied the laws of human attraction and many have concluded that like forces attract. Some more recent studies propose the "opposites attract" theory, arguing that people are attracted to those whose needs conversely match his or her own.
Here’s your chance to prove whether opposites do attract.
The college athlete and the science geek, the party animal and the homebody, the artist and the tradesperson, the city girl and the country guy. Couples who are as different as can be, but for some reason they work.
Yin and Yang, black and white. Perfect opposites in absolute synchronicity.
For these couples it’s their differences that excite us. Differences that lead to fiery arguments and even more explosive make-ups.
We want short stories about love in all its forms, as long as the main characters walk a different path in life. This different path can be defined by their jobs, their personalities, even their moral integrity.
Some of the characters might make us crazy doing the things they do, but their partner will level them, and make the reader love them as well.
Bottom Drawer Publications announces a submission call for short stories between 5,000 - 12,000 words, focused on male/female romances that have main characters that are very different.

Unconventional relationships: A bit of kink! BDSM, Ménage, Poly …
On the surface so many relationships seem conventional … but if we could see behind closed doors, would we still think the same?
The young couple next door has a frequent visitor, whom the neighbors assume is just a friend of the husband coming over to watch a game on TV or to hang out by the BBQ. But is there more than meets the eye? Could he really be joining the couple in the bedroom? Maybe the hubby likes to watch his wife with someone else, or maybe she likes to watch?
Or how about the single guy in an apartment block from where intriguing sounds issue from? The girl in the apartment beneath assumes he’s watching porn, but how does she explain away the mysterious woman in a trench coat, stockings, and heels that she’s passed on the stairs?
Maybe it’s you that has a penchant for older men that spank you if you’re a naughty girl, but tell all your friends and family that you only date older men because guys your age are just too immature?
Unconventional relationships … we want to read all about them.
Bottom Drawer Publications announces a submission call for short stories between 5,000 ¬– 12,000 words that focus on relationships that fall outside the curve of the conventional.
We are looking for interesting and well-written short stories for our alternative lifestyles genre that will appeal to our reader’s naughty side.

Valentine’s Day!
Flowers, chocolates, romantic dinners, marriage proposals abound … For the rest of us, it’s a day we’d rather stay in bed, under the covers, wishing the greeting card companies had never thought of it!
We want short stories about love and Valentine’s Days that don’t always go as planned:
You might have the least romantic guy on earth surprise you.
You might wake up to a text that says, “It’s me, not you.”
You might receive an anonymous valentine that makes your heart skip.
You might have the most amazing day planned for your girl and everything goes wrong.
Bottom Drawer Publications announces a submission call for short stories between 5,000 - 12,000 words, focused on Valentine’s Day, especially where things don’t always go to plan.
We are looking for interesting and creative stories, well written and within the contemporary genre, that will appeal to our reader’s imaginations. The stories will be published as an anthology to coincide with the holiday.
