My only real criticisms:
-It's definitely a book where the journey is more important than the destination, but the ending still felt a little weak to me. I think I just wanted more, but I wish that the authors hadn't chosen to end the story there.
-Despite the switching POVs, the story felt at times like it was about Quinn's journey more than it was about Rashad's. While I understand why this may have been done, I still wish that Rashad felt more like the main character in his own story. Instead, I was left feeling like Rashad's trauma was the catalyst for Quinn's journey, which isn't really fair to Rashad.

Metaphorically Groundbreaking: The first one that comes to mind is "Liar" by Justine Larbalestier. The protagonist is the very definition of an "unreliable narrator;" she lies about everything, then tells you "that was a lie, here's the truth:" then later says "Ok, that was also still kind of a lie, here's the REAL truth"
The book defies traditional categorization, because she doesn't tell you the truth about what the book is actually about until about halfway through the novel.

I have a bit of a "Your eyes are bigger than your stomach" problem when it comes to books, as you can probably tell if you take a look at my "want to read" shelf. If only I could read faster!

What a coincidence, Jenn. I also love smelling books!
