Is the Brotherband Chronicles a stand-alone based in the RA universe? Could someone start reading them without having read the RA series?

Here's an idea: What if they made a TV show out of RA? It makes sense, given that there are so many books in the series (which could turn out bad in a movie, if the writers/director decide to "condense" the books into a few films). I think they could easily give each book a few episodes to a season. Also, making it a TV show gives the producers a good chance to change what the audience doesn't like after the release of the first episode.

I'm back on Goodreads after a long absence (I also started re-reading the series from the beginning), and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for the group, such as a separate page, a different main picture/masthead, etc.?

A Ranger's Apprentice movie I think would have to be adventurous and somewhat foreboding, but with some instances of humor, much like the books. Maybe a little gritty, but I don't want it to take itself too seriously. Slap on some nice visuals and decent acting and I'll gladly pay to see it.

On second thought, I don't know if a Lord of The Rings movie type-feel would be fitting for RA. LOTR is very broad in scope and dark. RA is very good, don't get me wrong, but in my opinion it is very different than Lord of the Rings.

What actor would play Will?

Khyllian wrote: "But of course! Where else to do it?! :-)"Josh can vouch for my small case of OCD. I don't want us to be arguing on any thread. If you guys don't mind, I'd like to just talk about books in this group. Apart from not enjoying arguments, I only like to use this website for book-themed subjects, because that's what it's for. But if you guys REALLY hate each other that much, go ahead and fight in the personal messaging feature.

I'm only on book 4 of Ranger's Apprentice...

I'll put his picture in group photos

And Halt as Jeremy Irons.

I always imagine Crowley as Liam Neeson.
