Sarah’s comments from the DG Reads- Sailing Through Pages group.

I had a hard time connecting with this book. I didn't find any of the characters either likeable or relatable. The only aspect I could relate to was getting tired of constantly having to attend wedding-related events. I also had little interest in any of the characters' romantic relationships. In response to where the characters will be in five years, I feel like they'll all still be searching for the fairytale while settling for someone who is mediocre just so that they can be one of the girls in white dresses. The only character I really had any sympathy for was JonBenét. I feel like she was more authentic than the jaded central protagonists, even if the other characters treated her like a joke. Her interest with marriage and weddings is something I think many women can relate to, even though her level of interest was fairly extreme.
