946165 I agree DJay. And in a book with mutants, werewolves, vampires, gangs and creatures, trying to make a human character fascinating is difficult. But I think I was able to drip feed some intruge about the MC through the main series, as well as grounding a little of his goals and personality in the prequel.

(Reminder: READ THE SEQUEL DJAY!) :)

Very aptly put, Alan. I will always strive to put stories and characters before anything else. I think some authors also lean too hard into the 'long-running series' and just end up running out of things for their MC to do apart from meet new women and have sex, which can get fairly tiresome.

Book 2 of the after-skirmish is on it's way to being done and all members of this group are entitled to review/beta read copy.

946165 So far I've only released books in the After-Skirmish series which are post apocalyptic with harem elements. The next book is going to be in the series and I should have that out soon.

But going forward I have made a start on a Steampunk Pirate book, a Cybperunk Thriller and a Psychological Horror. They will all involve sexual content but I'm thinking of expanding a lot before returning to the post apocalypse.

Are there any other genres or settings you want to see more of in erotic fiction?

Oh yeah The No-Zone! It's a very short read at only 81 pages and it's made up of 3 short stories. I think you and wolf will really like it. Plus I want you both all caught up for when I send you an ARC of the next in the series :)

And I would totally read that blog Deej.

946165 I don't suppose anyone here has read Conquer by Aron Stone?

946165 My Post Apocalyptic Harem novel is finally finished and is going through the final edits. I'm uploading a couple chapters over time onto 'Royal Road' if you could follow the book there and leave some feedback that'd be great!

946165 Hello guys, I know I don't post here a lot but that's mainly because I've been working on my Debut Book! It's a Post-Apocalyptic Harem adventure, and if anyone can find time in their busy reading schedule I'd be happy to send you some of the first few chapters to Beta-Read!

946165 It's sort of insulting. it preys on the 'stereotype' of loser nerds who want female attention but can't get it. So the place this pathetic person at the center of a harem so it plays upon the fantasy of the supposed readers.

i.e. "If this loser can get 6 elven demon women to want him, I can too!"

My harem novel is nearly finished by the way!

Are the Arena Books all fairly tongue in cheek or do they become more serious?

The cover art is so good it keeps making me want to try them, but I'm almost certain I'd be dissapointed.

I would encourage you to read 'Without Law' by Eric Vall, only because it's so awful it's kind of fascinating. It could be re-realeased as a 'how to to write a harem' and I'd buy it.

Have you read all of the Eric Vall books? Me and wolfgar were discussing the lack of quality outside of the summoner series.

Can i ask what you think of the sequels (book 2 and 3?)
May 03, 2019 05:37AM

946165 Just a heads up. Mike Truk is really showing some chops with this new book.
946165 Wild Wastes is still my favourite Harem (psuedo Gamelit) book. It was the literal reason why I got Kindle Unlimited and its the source of inspiration for the book I'm writing now. Even people who despise Harems consider Wild Wastes to be high quality.

It's almost a perfect Harem. Interesting female characters, well written sex and action scenes and a very versatile world to build adventure from.

However the following books (2 and 3) are just ridiculous. The main character goes from 3 well established 'wives' to dozens and dozens and dozens where you cant remember anyones fucking name. And they are just birthing machines for his endless amount of children. It took a grounded power fantasy and just made it unbearable.

I have a strong feeling that Randi didn't actually want to write sequels, but just did so anyway because of how ridiculously popular the first book was.

Thoughts?

I think someone did a harem book descripition that was in a Donald Trump impression, I'll try and find it.
