Hello, YAholics! It seems that this group has gotten kind of lonely lately. So, I'll need your help to make this group snazzy again! Help us dust off the old threads and bring in some new ones!

I need your help on what we need to add to the group! Do we need group reads, more games, challenges? What fun stuff do you have in mind?

See the banner on our group's home page? Every year the group picks out books for the banner and then are challenged to read them. The last banner challenge just ended, so it's time for a new one!

So, what are some books that you would like to see on the banner? and would like to see in the challenge?


Try not to include too many sequels, as other members may not have read the previous book. 2016 releases are fine! But while this challenge will probably be going into 2017, not 2017 releases please, as their release dates aren't set in stone and some don't have covers yet!

Also, we're trying to do different books, so please double check previous years before nominating ( 2013, 2014, 2015)

Through the Zombie Glass got 3.5 stars, Pure got 4, and Crushed got 5!

I'm not really like that with books (though, I hate buying novellas. I only buy them if I really really really love the series) However, I always look at page number before reading, to see how long it will take me to read it. Sometimes page numbers are also the deciding factor on whether I will read it then or not.

Okay, Esther, it was really hard (you have A LOT of great books in your TBR), but I was able to choose 3 book for you! These are all some of my favorites, I hope you enjoy them!

Also, please ignore the blank spaces in the Para./Fantasy category. Likewise, I ran out of character space, so some fantasy and paranormal books are in the sci-fi and dystopian category.

Anyway, I'll have the polls running for a week, then we can finally have our banner!

I couldn't add Crash because it's a sequel. Also Shadow and Bone was already used in 2013. I almost didn't add The Heir, but as it's technically a spin-off, I went ahead and added it. Silent Echo didn't get added because it's an adult book.

Everything else is great! We now have an ongoing list of 124 books! We really don't need anymore but I'll give the rest of the night!

I decided to not include Everything I Never Told You, War and Peace, Game of Thrones, The Girl Who Placed With Fire, and Bronze Gods because they are adult books. I have nothing against adult books, but this is a YA group so...

Also decided not to include Magnus Chase because it doesn't have a cover yet.

Spellcaster (by Schultz), Blackout, and Shadows in the Silence were also taken off because they are sequels and the previous books were not on previous challenges. If you guys want to nominate the first books that's fine.

Anyway, we currently have over 100 books to choose from, which is more than enough. I'm going to close nominations soon, but I will take any last minute nominations.
