Perfectly worded!! Mercy and the gang have become as familiar to me as family, or really good friends, and I can't wait to accompany them on their adventures again :)

I love how Shannon captures the nature of each character perfectly in her POVs - whether it's Sebastian's innate sexiness, Flynn's wickedness (+ innate sexiness!), or Luke's...innate hotness?! Basically, she succeeds in presenting us fangirls with squeal-worthy POVs :)

I have to agree with you :)

Also, Luke's break up with Mercy in the previous book annoyed me - Luke's a great guy and everything, but all because a relationship isn't easy, or you're 'not meant to be together', etc. doesn't mean you should break up with a person when they clearly want to be with you and are broken up about it. 'Sexy Lexi' didn't help his cause either.

Flynn may be a lot of things, but at least he remains true to himself and doesn't start anything he can't finish. He keeps his distance even though it kills him to. He's with other girls because he's an incubus, guys. But Luke not only kept secrets from Mercy (being a Nephilim, being her 'guardian angel', etc.) but he hurts her supposedly with good intentions and then expects to get back together easily.

I think Luke and Flynn need to even the playing grounds. Luke needs to step down and they both need to be given the chance to fight/court/woo/have a chance with Mercy and let her decide. That would be fair. And then the loser would have to back off, but they had a chance to win her.

Yep. That was quite a rant! Luke fans, I apologise for offending any of you - I love Luke, but Flynn has a special place in my heart (him and his witty banter, bless him!) and I think a fair fight is in order...hopefully non-violent.

Because if the air isn't cleared, so to speak, and they don't try to work things out fairly and openly, Flynn harbouring 'secret' feelings for Mercy will only lead to both guys losing their friendship and things going downhill. They need to work things out. :)
