50x66 I just finished the Silent Patient it was a very good story that is a fast read. I enjoyed this book because I was completely surprised by the ending. I enjoy mysteries that I can't figure out and this one kept me guessing. I could not figure out why Alicia would not talk but the ending really pulls it all together for me. Theo was very disappointing to me at the beginning of the story but I come see what a very screwed up individual he is because of his past. The abuse that is done to children rarely completely goes away even when people work hard to get past it as Theo did. He and Alicia did have a lot in common in a bad way.The Silent Patient

50x66 Finished Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine and really enjoyed the book. It is a good book about a women that has had a very dysfunctional life and how she learns to overcome these obstacles.
Her friend Raymond is my favorite character in the book. In my mind I see him as a big teddy bear of a man who is extremely frumpy. How this book ties in with bullying is how her mother treats her as well as her co-workers. Read this book to see how Eleanor overcomes all the obstacles in her life.

50x66 I was thinking instead of picking one book how about a topic for a three month period. We than can read whatever we want and review what we read and see if it interests anyone. I was thinking for July through September 30 we could use the topic

Bully

It seems to be a big one right now. Please make other suggestions.

50x66 This will be our first book for July. Please let me know you suggestions for August. Have fun reading.
This book is about three people from different back rounds. One is from Cuba, the second is from Argentina and the third is Jewish. They are thrown together because of an accident and a dead body in a trunk. All 3 main characters have a back story that is very interesting. Enjoy!
