I don't think Brown Girl Dreaming fits the age range criterion for Printz, but I might be wrong here. I adore that book, but I put it on my Newbery list.

Whoops! After more digging it appears brown girl dreaming has the same age range as Navigating Early - one of last year' Printz Honor books as well as Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy which won both a Printz Honor and a Newbery Honor the same year.People are free to change their vote but it's eligible.
