Mary HD I loved! THE CROSSOVER and consider this a serious Newbery/Printz contender.

Kim McGee I think we should read "Rain, Reign" by Ann M. Martin
Told in the voice of an autistic young girl, it deals with several hard hitting issues and is beautifully written!
