The Newbery awards are just around the corner. It's time to decide what we will read for our last book of the month this year.

Carol Royce Owen A lot of good titles here. I feel there has already been a lot of discussion around El Deafo and Absolutely Almost. I loved The Meaning of Maggie and Rain Reign - and hope they may be considered, but there are definitely others here I want to read. Yikes! The year's almost over. Better get reading!

Czechgirl There is so many good choices on this list. I've already read Port Chicago 50, Absolutely Almost, The Crossover, and Nest, so I voted for one of the ones I haven't read yet--I still had 5 books I want to read that I haven't yet. I want to get all 5 of those read before the end of the year. Good choice of books this month!
