That was a surprisingly had choice... but then I saw Terry Pratchett... and every other choice just vanished like valuable trinkets around Nobby Nobbs :D

Why am I choosing? What is the question? I've read and enjoyed Pratchett, McCaffrey, Asimov, Adams and Norton. I intend to pick up Neil Gaiman one of these days but I've never heard of Connie Willis. Of the ones I've read, each fills a different need for my soul so the choice would depend on what I want at the time.
