So..I'm debating whether or not to start reading contemporary novels and based on the first book I read i'm gonna decide on whether or not to continue contemporary....Which author should I start with first?

I agree contemporary is a lot you shouldent give on a WHOLE GENRE if you dont like one spesific book. But I would say all the ones i the poll are great choices.. I would add Meg Cabot

I recommend Pivot Point by Kasie West to start out with. It's mostly contemporary with a SFF twist, to ease you into the genre. Also, I wouldn't judge the entire genre on one author. Some are better than others.
