It's where you pick which books you are going to read based on the color of the covers. I am in a group called 2018 Reading Challenge and it's one of their yearly challenges. Here's the link if you want to check it out :)

Ilsen I haven’t read any of these but I really want to read Carry On, Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Rebel Belle, and Exit West!

Awesome! I will be reading all these this year. I just couldn't decide what order to read them in. I figured y'all could help me out :)

That would be nice but it'll be a while before I get to it. We can read it together if you are willing to wait for me.

Adi Rocks Socks Hey! I haven’t read any of these, tbh, but I do have a few on my tbr shelf. I just wanted to share some trivia about Carry On!

Carry On actually started off as Harry Potter fanfiction, can you believe it? Simon is Harry, and Baz is Draco, and like most Drarry fics, explores the roommate trope.

If Drarry is a ship you sail, this book is for you. (Drarry is my OTP!)

Also, unrelated, but I’m waiting for Amazon to deliver the book! :D

Thanks for the info! I never shipped Drarry (I loathe Malfoy) but I heard this is good. I plan on reading this as a stand alone, instead of a fanfic. I don't want any preconceived notions to affect my opinion of it.

I put your book on my TBR list. There are groups on goodreads you could join where authors and reviewers post threads either looking for reviews or books to review. Maybe you'll have more luck that way :)

message 16: by Leo (new)

Leo . Thank you Tina much appreciated. I am a bit reclusive and find it all a bit of a struggle. I suppose when one is alreafy successful an agent does all this marketing and promotion. Tge easiest thing is writing the book. Lol!👍🐯

That is true about promotion. I'm sorry you are having a rough go of it. I can message you a few links to some of the groups I'm in for reviews if you'd like :)

Mel (Epic Reading) Tea Girl is absolutely beautiful. A little slow in places but I found it extremely enjoyable and learned so much about how tea is made. :)

message 19: by Leo (new)

Leo . 👍🐯

Thank you Tina that is very helpful.

Nice! Is it sad or happy or all over the place? The emotional ones tend to stick with me for a longer time than most.

Kind of bittersweet ending. I felt satisfied but there are certainly some challenges that result in sad outcomes. But I wouldn't say it's a deliberate tear jerker story.
Is that vague enough? Lol!!

I gotcha. Bittersweet is a lot better than overly sad. And thank you for the vagueness. I don't want any spoilers :P

Mel (Epic Reading) I'm a stickler with spoilers so I am extra careful. Glad you appreciate that!

I'm glad you enjoyed both of them. I'm pretty sure Carry On is gonna be next. I'm gonna be reading all of these this year so I'm just gonna read them in order of most votes to least votes to make it easy on myself :)

message 29: by Krystal (new)

Krystal I loved Lilac Girls, I highly recommend!
Beartown, and The Tea Girl on Hummingbird Lane after Lilac Girls

Awesome! What did you love about Lilac Girls? It's one of the ones I'm more excited for. I could be biased though since purple is my favorite color and the cover is gorgeous. And I'm also partial to Bear Town because I loved, loved, loved A Man Called Ove :)

Tina Haigler Short wrote: "Rebel Belle. I loved the first book."

What did you love about it? I am quite honestly surprised with the reaction to Rebel Belle. I expected that to be the underdog but it's not even close.

message 33: by Artemis (new)

Artemis Christopoulou Sorry i haven't read any of them so i can't help you!!! But enjoy it whatever you choose eventually!!! And if it's really good please recommend it to us!!!

That's ok. No worries. I have 3 books to read before I tackle this list. I'm hoping to read them in a month and then I can tackle this list. I'll keep people updated on here but people can also add me as a friend to see my reviews when I'm done :)

message 35: by Carolina (new)

Carolina Well, I only know Carry on -which I haven't read- and Rebel belle, which wasn't a big deal to me. Maybe you should go for the one that you've heard least or pick up one randomly.

Thanks for the input. I figure I'll read them in the order they got voted for because I am reading all of these this year :)
