I nominated Half Blood Blues because it has been on my shelf for a couple of years and it is a Giller Prize winner. But I have read both Dancer and Sing, Unburied, Sing and both are wonderful books. I won't be rereading them if they win but their authors, in my mind, are among the best in the 21st century!

Just for the record - I voted for Half-Blood Blues but would also consider reading Sing Unburied, Dancer and the Mermaid. Not sure about Wicked Weeds and have not yet checked UK availability for it.

I own, and have read, Sing, Unburied, Sing, I might not reread it this year, but I can still participate if it’s picked.

I can borrow (and will participate in) everything else on this list, except Wicked Weeds: A Zombie Novel, which is priced beyond my budget and not in my library. I’d still follow your discussion if it’s picked, it sounds really interesting, I just don’t have the means to get the book right now.

Meanwhile, accepting bribes from people who wish to commit voters fraud :p~

I have already read Sing, Unburied, Sing (recently) and Half-Blood Blues (many years ago). I voted for Sing, Unburied Sing and it's probably the only book I would participate in discussing if chosen. It is an exceptionally good book.

Since Hugh bailed on my nomination, putting it last, I decided to do the same. Carol, we can try with Half Blood Blues again next month, and every month thereafter until it either wins or some mod, bored with seeing it nominated every month, rescues it as a mod pick!
