Note everyone that Marque of Caine is the fifth volume of the saga

Since I've already read the other two standalones/first books I go for "A Song for a New Day"

I went to the library about 20? minutes after the nominees came out (Tor mailing listed them) and NOONE had "A Song for a New Day" checked out. So I jumped on that because I know there will be lots of people waiting soon.

So let's read that!

I'm not going to vote. The only one I can get from the library is "Gideon the Ninth" and I'm not interested in reading that.
Will see which one wins poll, then decide whether to buy or not.

I'll pass as well. I've already read Gideon (and regretted it), and I'm not even remotely interested in any of the others.

If it stays a tie, we could read them both.

Nothing really tickles my fancy but let's see if one has a huge discount in the couple of weeks.

If Jade wins, I hear it is pretty boring, so I will read the library book first and then Jade. I'm reading them both eventually anyway, so I don't care.

Jade is fine but nothing special, not Nebula level material, IMHO
