If so I think we should just randomize it, roll a dice or something.
It is indeed problematic :) Maybe we should check the availability of these titles first and then decide?

Access from libraries is pretty much only ebooks now. I have access to three library systems for these and the only one of these five books that was available was Palace Walk. Some of them have paper copies of The Dictator's Last Night. I haven't checked on inexpensive internet resales yet.

Although it sounds interesting, The Book of Khartoum: A City in Short Fiction will not be released until the end of May and the question is if it will be available in the libraries by then...
As far as the other books are concerned I can say that I'm not into the tomes and would probably stick to one of the shorter ones...
Difficult!

I'm finding that The Book of Khartoum was released in May 2016 and is available many places online. The lowest price I found was at Googlebooks for the ebook: $6.19. For Kindle $7.85. There's at least one used paper one with Amazon Prime for $12.
For budget prices: Multiple used copies of The Dictator's Last Night are available from Betterworld books for $3.98 w/ free shipping (under $6 at Amazon) and they have copies of The Curious Case of Dassoukine’s Trousers for $4.48 free shipping.
I suggest a free choice read of the region: Whatever you have on hand, and can find the energy to engage with in these times - some will enjoy a brick sized tome, others the slim volumes. Some titles are available online, but I'd like to leave it up to everyone to pick and choose what they have access to, or might want to buy, borrow or find on that dusty shelf?
I'll make us a thread - hopefully we can read different authors and share the different experiences and compare notes - we might all find some inspiration for our next reads?

I'm findi..."
Thanks! I somehow misread the date of release :)
My 2nd choice would be Palace Walk.
04/24: I'm going to switch my vote to Palace Walk since no one else has voted for Open Door. Palace Walk is avail to me from library as Eaudio-ebook.
