Dawn When I finished reading Kostova's The Historian, I immediately went to Vroman's Bookstore and bought two more of her novels. It was one of the most intriguing, seductive, intelligent, fascinating vampire/ historical fiction tales I've ever read. There are two images that still haunt me when I think of the novel. Excellent choice.

That book was really good. It's like vampire story done intelligently.

Jeri I am a little confused, when I checked the bookshelf tonight i noticed only one book for October "currently reading" and it isn't The Sun Down Motel which when I dug further in the Polls section appears to have the most votes.... is there a discussion topic I am missing? Where would I find it, as a quick scan didn’t enlighten me but that isn't surprising lol. I don't mean to be obtuse, I use the Bookshelf almost exclusively to keep me up-to-date. TIA

If you go to look at the group's home page

here's the link to the discussion:

Jeri Thanks for links Nancy. I am still a bit confused why The Sun Down Motel isn't on the Bookshelf however...

Actually, it is. If you click on the "currently reading" link, you'll see it. It looks like the group read this a couple of years back (although I don't remember that) since it was added to the group shelf in 2020. I think that's the issue.

Jeri BINGO! I don't remember it as an earlier read either... thank you. I even did a quick scan of the bookshelf before my first post and completely missed it. Again thank you.
