Laura Harrison I was mortified when the news first reported the events in Shackled. Unconscionable and horrific. I followed updates for quite awhile. I am not sure I will read it. Still pondering it over. It may be an important read.

Shella The Luminous Life of Lucy Landry - I rated this a one star rating- the main character was all over the place and the plot was a hot mess. I cannot fathom anyway it would be in Newbery consideration. That’s just my take.

Tamsyn Loved Not Nothing! One of my favorites of the year -- read this one even if it doesn't get enough votes.
