Okay for Now, Hound Dog True, Breadcrumbs.Since the publisher recommends A Monster Calls for 12 and up, I wonder if we'll see it as a Printz winner instead. I think it skews younger.

honors: a monster calls. also, THE MONEY WE'LL SAVE by Brock Cole, but it isnt listed
Honors choices: Okay for Now and Breadcrumbs. I wish I had read A Monster Calls. It will have to be on my list to read in 2012.

I voted for A Monster Call's, but since I haven't read Breadcrumbs yet, I may change my vote once I do.Okay For Now for the honor.
A big part of me is wondering whether we'll all be surprised again by a book from out of the blue that we hadn't considered.

The honor book of my choice is Inside Out and Back Again.
I haven't read all of the choices, but of those I have, my honor choices are Dead End in Norvelt, The Trouble with May Amelia and Inside Out and Back Again.
I would select A Monster Calls as an honor book. It was excellent, but I think it has a lower appeal for young readers.
