Mahlia asked Inbali Iserles:

I have some work I'd love to get published. How do I go about doing that and what's the process?

Inbali Iserles Hello! Great to hear from a fellow writer :) sorry for the delay, I haven't logged on for a while (I've been busily writing Foxcraft 3!).

These days most writers use agents to place their books with publishers. The process is quite competitive and can take time, so prepare for a long journey and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. In the UK there's a book called The Writers' & Artists' Yearbook that it sets out the process to publication and has listings of agents and publishers. Most libraries have this kind of book so pop into your local library and see what they have.

You'll need to find an agent/publisher who publishes the type of stories you write - for example, some only work with non-fiction, or publish thrillers but not romance. Be passionate and determined, it can be a tough business. Don't give up! xx Inbali
