Not ‘If we had such and such, then you’d see how successful we could be’, but ‘Given that we don’t have such and such, or that this and that is not up to par, we’ll take this action in order to realise our goal anyway.’ Many people – and organisations – prefer to transfer responsibility onto external events, or onto others, but it is much more meaningful (and fun) to focus on your own behaviour.”
