Okay... um, can you go into more detail about the question and what the project is about? That may help...

So for the new school year, 2012-2013, I am now in form five (11th Grade) and in my second last year of high school/secondary school. For one of my subjects, Basic Liberal Studies, every form five student need to do a project called IES. (I have no idea what it means) it’s part of our overall grade and will be counted in form six when we take the HKDSE (the public exam) which will determine if we can go into university or not. So, I have just recently written a draft of our proposal and I have chosen the topic; “How does literature and reading develop individual potential and inculcate values?”

Like, why did you chose literature as your hobby, what differs literature from others, how has literature affected you, how does literature influence your thinking and so on. If you think that it relates to the topic then you can just add that on.

Basically, it's about how literature/reading affect one's growth and thinking.

This is a rather big topic... that's really tricky to do and really hard to come up with stuff on it... what have you tried so far?

I already have opinions given by other goodreads members and actually I chose that from the suggested topics anyway. And as far as my sources are available, it's not really hard to come up with it since it's also a topic I'm interested in. The other topics are so cliche, students last year have been doing it and the teacher wanted us to do something better. I have a already found some references, it's a year long project anyway and I've submitted my proposal, I'll see what the teacer thinks of it. Yeah, it can be a bit too vague but it's like an essay which I'm familiar with doing.
