Okay my 4 scenarios for what will play out in this book:
Scenario 1 - Twilight
It will play out like Twilight; America can't choose between either one of them so strings the poor Jacob (Aspen) along until she finally chooses her Edward (Maxon) and they have nice little babies together.

Scenario 2 - The Biggest Loser
More girls will enter the competition as wild cards to make up the final ten, Biggest Loser style. One of them will be sweet and genuine and nice so America makes Maxon choose her and she goes with Aspen and they all have nice little babies together.

Scenario 3 - Operation Princess
The rebels kidnap one/some of The Selection girls (probably America, just saying) and take her back to their camp for randsom. She gets beaten/dragged through wild shrubbery/raped/all of the above. Maxon and the royal guards rescue her and they declare their undenying for each other and have nice little babies together.

Scenario 4 - I Hate You, Ms Cass
America chooses Aspen.

Out of all of them though I want Scenario 3 to happen. They're just my little predictions.

why do u like aspen he broke america's heart and is now playibg with her emotions so aspen should just go die in a hole and if he survives he should leave america alone she has to choose maxon otherwise u will win and i will lose and i would not like that one bit

I love that you have titles for each scenario. I could definitely see some of these coming true. I hope the "Twilight" doesn't happen. I actually don't dislike Aspen, I really do like him. I just ADORE Maxon. but yes, it would be interesting if they were captured by rebels. I could see that happening.

I feel like America will end up with Maxon, because she has the sense of a leader. The nation needs her and Maxon together to make changes. If I were in her situation, I would choose Maxon...Not just because I adore him, but because you can help more people with him. Obviously, she loves them both, so it wouldn't be as if she were abandoning her heart or anything....I guess we will have to see.

That's awesome!! I definitely want #1 or #3 (I don't like Aspen so either works). I honestly can't see Maxon truly being happy with anyone else, though, so I hope she ends up with him for his sake. Aspen should be 'tragically' killed while protecting America from the rebels, and with his dying breath, tell her to be happy with whoever she chooses (MAXON!!) because only that will make America feel that it's okay.

I want Maxon to choose America because he really likes her, but he wants to be sure she wants him and doesn't just settle for him.

Though I don't want America with Aspen, I don't feel such hate for him as others express. He makes some bad decisions when he's at the palace, but he originally broke up with her out of love. Love will make you do things you don't want to protect the ones you love. He knows what being a six is about and how difficult that life is and didn't want her to settle for it when he knew he couldn't provide for her.

Maxon has a lot of respect for America and even takes her opinions to heart. Hence the reason he cut the stipends for the families, so that nobody has to go hungry. America is like Queen Amberly and I hope that the Queen sees this and kinda mentions it to Maxon.

I personally think that Marlee will be discovered with a guard as her lover (which is why she didn't want to leave even though she doesn't have chemistry with Maxon). Also hoping Aspen will get killed in a rebel attack. IJS

i'm guessing that it's going to be America in the end because that's just the way that these stories go. i do think though that now that we see why Maxon likes Celeste, there may be more to that story there, and that perhaps there's a lot more going on from his POV.

what i like though is that we get the sense from him that things are even worse off for him personally than we thought, and i wouldn't be surprised if there was a surprise thrown into the mix, especially since we know that Aspen's not going to go down w/o a fight!

All I know is that kiera cass would never disappoint us and whatever the ending is, she Will make the ending the greatest.

He must choose America. If he doesn't, I won't know what to do with myself. America+Maxon always has been, always wil be. I don't care what happened in The Elite, they are ment for each other and if they are too stupid to realize that then Kiera Cass has to shove them back into that hidden rebel attack room until they figure it out for themselves.

But I heard kiera said that the ending was already planned when she started writing the selection...she said the "ending" in a tone that is well...positive and straightforward in a really odd way. I'm doubting the ending of the 3rd of my predictions. I don't care if America end up with Maxon or aspen. I just want her to convince me at the end of the series that the choice was perfect.

He'll choose America unless she tells him not to. Then, based on what I've heard (haven't read The Elite yet) he'll choose Kriss. Although, if you think about it, she'll probably choose Maxon. If she chose Aspen, the whole series would be about a girl who moved to a castle and almost married a prince. I don't think Kiera would have written that kind of an ending...it would make the whole series kind of pointless. I *might* be able to deal with her choosing Aspen, though, as long as I am convinced that he is the PERFECT choice for her.

I agree, I want to be convince that whatever the decision is, that it was the best choice for America and it wasn't a hasty decision.

If not, I would like to agree to those who chose MAXON! Come on, HE is the prince!

Normally, or should I say ALWAYS, the prince is included in the story to be the one partnered with the heroine! Doing otherwise will break me, and I guess, a lot of girls' heart!

All the same, I chose Maxon because I know that he is kind, attractive and thoughtful! (Yeah, it is America's words)

But really, even though I have second thoughts on him before after finding out about what he was doing with Celeste, I shipped immediately to Aspen knowing that at least he will not hurt America. But after knowing everything that really happened, I can't help myself on going back to Maxon and quite surely will be my final choice!

I think Maxon will chose America because honestly, no one else from the selected can understand him as well as she does. Also, she's beautiful and they love each other and all that jazz. Aspen needs to leave the picture because he is clearly no longer America's love interest. However, I did like Aspen somewhat better after America caught Maxon and Celeste. And after she found out about his secret relashionship thing with Kriss because I felt like he was just playing with America's feelings and that is simply not okay.

I was laughing at anerica after she cought him with celeste cz she deserved it. . She keeps seeing aspen.. what so she can and he can't... Maxon is awesome...

These theories are so great and so funny! I hope Maxon and America will make it together especially since at the end of The Elite America said she was actually going to fight for him. The only thing I'm wondering about is what would happen to Kriss. The same situation happened with Marlee but she ended up with the soldier/guard. I'm wondering who would end up with Kriss... maybe Aspen??? Or, if your 3rd theory is correct maybe she'll fall in love with a rebel.

He has to choose America!! Aspen will probably end up with one of her maids. Prince Maxon said in the 2nd book that he would much rather be in Americas arms but she has barely spoken to him. The 3rd one is supposed to be coming out may 6th. They are also planning to make a series. Don`t know for sure but if they do it will be on cw.

1. When Marlee got lashes, did aspen do anything? Did he make her feel better? NO!! He kept on pushing her when he knew she was broken. He kept pushing her after she had left him. NO!! Aspen was just kid love but Maxon, he was kind to America, he forgave her, tried to comfort her, took care of her, cared for her, and shared secrets.

2. Maybe Aspen will die. . . or marry Lucy. Or Kriss. AGUH!!!!! So many choices. =(

I agree with you I hope America and Maxon will end up together.
I'm kinda hoping Aspen and Lucy get together because Aspen doesn't deserve America. I'm not sure if I want Aspen to die though because I think that would make America heartbroken and she wouldn't be able to function and stuff.

Both Aspen and Maxon have positive and negative qualities. The main difference between them (besides one being a prince and the other being a soldier) is that Aspen's negative opinion of Maxon is colored by his interactions with the King, his upbringing as a six and his lack of information about the true inner-workings of Maxon.

Maybe if Aspen had more info about Maxon Aspen wouldn't be able to dislike Maxon so much. I also think that Aspen having more information about Maxon would make Aspen more likeable.

Kiera Cass has said that readers will get information about the motivations of the rebels in book three. I wonder how that will happen... (view spoiler)[There was a hint / quote / spoiler on Cass's website for book 3 that said "Hey Mer, it's Max". I wonder if this quote is related in some way to America learning about the rebel's motivations. Why on earth would Maxon call America "Mer" and why on earth would America call him "Max"? (hide spoiler)]

Lol irk.. I mean like it's not like that aspen is bad or anything, but.ll for some odd feelings, I think the ending that the Arthur writes will neither surprise, or disappoint us... Cause there's only 2 choices she can make. Aspen or mason. ( personally I think maxon is the better choice)
