Are you supposed to read a book from each of the categories, or pick one, or pick a few?

Good question, April Lyn. For these monthly and quarterly challenges, you set your own goal. You can try for all eight, or you can go for less than that if you like. It's whatever you want to do for the month.

I agree with Kelsi. I've been waiting for this challenge ever since it was posted. I don't have my list ready just yet though.

I'm in! I'm going to try for 8 again. I didn't make it for the cover challenge so I'm going to try again.

I'm in for 2. I'm not much of a horror person, but I'll definitely read a sci fi for alien and a murder mystery for murderer. :)

I haven't! I've been on a bit of a kick this year, reading books that everyone else seems to have read in middle school/high school that I never had to.

I apologize if this is already noted somewhere... but what exactly does a challenge leader do?

Th challenge leader tracks the progress of the participant, provides encouragement, and makes decisions if there are questions about whether a book fits a task (the mods can also help with this last one). Are you interested? ;)

I'm planning on going for all 8 :)

I might be able to complete all 8. We shall see, lol. Will do the best I can. :) This challenge looks so fun.

I have lots of ghostly ghastly scary or otherwise magical books to read, but I just stumbled across the movie Let Me In, which is loosely based on Let the Right One In. I never read about vampires, but think I'll give this one a go!
