Andy Bird | 30 comments The new Pratchett book Dodger is out 13th September. Not a Discworld book - are people looking forward to reading it?

D.L. Morrese (dl_morrese) | 53 comments Of course I'm looking forward to reading it. It's a Pratchett book!

Carole | 20 comments I've read a publicity preview of the first chapter. Looks good, has Charles Dickens as a character. I felt it was like a cross between TP's style and the Sally Lockhart books by Philip Pullman. Therefore, excellent!

Huw Evans (dochuw) | 16 comments Waterstones have been giving out the first few pages as a taster. Rob, his Personal Assistant, then read some at the Discworld Convention. I can't wait to read the rest.

Karl Wood (dreammaster4) | 2 comments loved this book. still prachett-esk humor even with this dickins twist

Carlotta (queenoftagliatelle) | 12 comments Just finished it today, Much better than the recent "Long Earth", I loved the London surrounding (since I just moved to London myself), and I adored the way Dickens is depicted :-) I could feel the Pratchett humor in it and I was very happy since I missed him terribly in the Baxter duetto....! The character I mostly enjoyed was Salomon, but I found his descriptions of the "ladies" in the pub adorable :-) I think I will call my next cat "Ginny-Come-Lately"!

Kinga | 3 comments You are soooo lucky that you can read it alredy. I have to wait until it will be publish in Poland... Buying it now in english is a little too expesive...

Chris The Story Reading Ape (chrisgr) This may not be a Discworld story but it is a good read and a clever mingling of Victorian characters

message 15: by Dani (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dani | 1 comments Not a Discworld book, rather a fictional story based in early Victorian London and has a cleaver use of real historical characters. I really enjoyed this book and was happy to note that it contained a lot of Pratchett's signature dark humour witty insight into human nature. Highly recommend.
