I agree they should make a little mermaid movie adaptation. The way they've taken off with fairytale movie, no doubt someone's already working on a script!

Yes That would be amazing! Have you seen this version of The Snow Queen?
I was looking around imdb and it says there is a version called Frozen, animation but look who it says is the production company!!!! XD

Here is an article about it from entertainment weekly!"
OH no! I got so excited, but reading further in that article, it mentions how some dude named Kristoff "leads her thru the mountain to the Snow Queen".... which betrays one of my favorite parts of that fairy tale - that Gerta finds Kay herself! the lady saves the day! Oh, Hollywood. *sigh*
To answer your other question, I did enjoy some of the Bridget Fonda one, but it's my favorite fairy tale so I hold it to impossibly high standards ;-)

That said, I REALLY want to see The Little Mermaid hit theaters next. I've heard that Carolyn Turgeon's novel ("Mermaid" -- a retelling of the original) may be coming to theaters, so that could definitely suffice. *Fingers Crossed*
What do you think? Is there a certain beloved fairy tale that you would like to see hit the theaters? Perhaps one that does not receive the amount of attention it deserves?
