It's not exactly therapy but I love the whole process. Recpies I know well I can do from memory or with the gentle reminder of my beloved and battered books - my favourite ones are copied onto index cards and stored in a small photograph album (wipe-clean, see?). Familiar friends, the scents and textures which always come together in the same way with a comforting reward at the end.
New experiments thrill me, too. At the moment I often bake for my gaming group, several of whom are gluten-free, so I have lots of interesting ingredients to try out.
Looking forward to sharing ideas and recipes with you all!

I have one huge bookshelf with nothing but cookbooks. I am always on the look-out for new cookbooks and recipes. I am looking forward to sharing with the group members. : )

Hi Kim. Welcome. I've never baked muffins, mostly bread and sweet rolls with a cake every now and then.

I don't think you can ever have too many recipes! I have a recipe swap group on Facebook where members have posted some lovely ideas/recipes.
I look forward to sharing ideas/recipes with you all.
Welcome to Kerry - we had an interesting discussion where we learned that an American flapjack is not the same as a British flapjack!

So how is an American flapjack different to a UK one?"
In the US Flapjack is another name for a pancake.

It's a dangerous time of year...all that yummy shortbread doesn't bode well for the hips. But, who cares! I'm making batch upon batch of the amazing stuff, in addition to chocolate balls and mince pies.
I hope you're all having as much fun as I am!
