Chris Stanley (christinelstanley) | 922 comments Are you ever frustrated by book endings that don't quite live up to expectation? This has happened to me several times recently, and I felt cheated having invested numerous hours on a book, and in the main enjoying it, for the ending to fall completely flat and unresolved.

I have no objection to open endings, where they are appropriate, or cliff hangers mid series, but poor endings are driving me crazy right now!

I don't especially want to say which books since the potential to spoil a story for someone else is too great.................!

Aria (lunarie) I know exactly what you mean! Ugh, like in romance novels when the author brushes off the "big" conflict so they can wrap up the ending quickly. Leaving something unresolved sure does make the book feel like something is lacking.

I love them as I can make up my own mind what happened. sometimes I change the story around several different way to suit myself.

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Yes, some book endings really suck. An example of one that I was very upset with was Jodi Picoult's "Handle With Care."
