This week has been Okinawa week for me. My mother is from Okinawa too! And I've met a whole group of Okinawan ladies this week (although most of them are my grandma's age).
Gosh what a small world.

My dad was in the military, which is how he met my mom, so most of her family is still in Okinawa, but I know she has some family in Hawaii that we used to visit during the short time we lived there. But now she just has her group in Seattle and I'm just getting involved with mine in Austin. This has been a very exciting week for me!
