Mock Printz 2026 discussion

Every Day by David Levithan was the group's top pick to read in October by a landslide. What makes this a possible Printz pick?

I loved this book. It's definitely my favorite YA of the year so far. The characters and relationships were beautifully portrayed. The writing was gorgeous. Also, it was just such a unique plot! Wonderful. I hope it wins.

Although I agree the plot was unique, I thought A seemed far to old for fifteen. I know the constant life changes has made him extremely flexible, but he makes a point of mentioning how he never enters a body older than he is which seemed significant to me. It also felt the voice was a little heavy handed at times. I did enjoy the end when he helped Rhiannon, though.

I wonder why he was able to always be close where he wanted to be?

I didn't love that she could accept A in any body except when he was fat. Really?
