Jay Howard (jay_howard) Please note we are now asking reviewers to post a link to the book they are reviewing when the file is safely received and the reading has begun. This is confirmation for the author and the mods that all is well.

That's OK, Marie-Anne - not many members do tell me the book they're reviewing, but it's a minor point and I won't get my knickers in a twist over it. I just thought it would save any potential for confusion when the author has more than one book available.

Mona Karel (monakarel) | 78 comments I started Larry's book a while back. Wow, really different for me. Put it aside for a while, then duty called and I started it again. Now I'm hooked, I'll be done with the review by the end of the weekend and I'm thinking I know someone who will really like reading it, so that's going to be an early Christmas present for him.

I know what you mean, Mona. I've really expanded my range of reading thanks to this group, and I would hate to have missed the mind-opening experience.

Larry Garner (larryanimalgarner) | 25 comments It's amazing to me how many women really like D-E-D, DEAD! I never would have guessed that there were that many females out there who read action/adventure. Much more than half of my sales have been to women readers. Thanks to you both for the kind words.

message 26: by Mona (new)

Mona Karel (monakarel) | 78 comments Larry it's more than action/adventure, at least for me. It's getting into the character's reasoning and attitudes. Yeah, he's a jerk but he's a jerk with principles.

message 27: by Jay (last edited Oct 28, 2012 08:19AM) (new)

Jay Howard (jay_howard) Hey, Larry, you deserve some credit, but don't hog it all lol! I wasn't talking solely about D-E-D, but all the books I've read here: Johnny's White Limousine, Marie-Anne's Whorticulture, Mike's San Anto, Kanwar's Shadows of Lost Time, and I'm now reading Sylvie's The Other Side of Silence and Eileen's Sydney's Story. In other circumstances I wouldn't have read any of them, and I have/am enjoying them all. I guess I was extremely lucky in the group I ended up in. I'm hoping the other members are thinking the same thing.

message 28: by Larry (new)

Larry Garner (larryanimalgarner) | 25 comments I'm duly chastised...:) I also have been lucky to read some great books in this group that I may not have picked otherwise.

message 29: by Jay (new)

Jay Howard (jay_howard) And the fact remains, DED was quite a unique experience - thank you for sharing it with us :)
