Thank you everyone for joining and posting your work. I was so excited to see I wasn't the only one in here, quacking into the void by myself haha.
Now, I have a new issue. I am the only one commenting on the work so far. I don't want that to continue because I am only one opinion and I was hoping for a wider sampling of readers for the writers posting here.
I should have realized I might have a much higher ratio of writers seeking feedback, as we all know, we are a needy lot (Stephen King said so and so did Joseph Heller and Margaret Atwood and they all know stuff) when it comes to garnering opinions of our work.
But, what's in it for the average reader...I'm not sure now. I have spread the word on a few other groups but have found no readers, just us writers and I'm glad to see you all!
But, I'm going to have to make a new rule. And I think I will make it retroactive: you must comment on one other writer's work. See, that's not so hard.
I will comment on all the work that is here now, as well.
Hey Diane, I am not sure if adding a topic for discussion was allowed or not considering this is your group but I was wondering what other writers did when they had a void in thoughts (I hate to say writers block). You know where you want the story to go but are unsure how to get there at the moment.
