Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaannnnnnnaaaaaaa! LovesHockeyWithAPassion Definately suprised me...I always thought of Judy Blume as a children's author, until I read this...

I totally agree with you. When I read the book I was so surprised and shocked that she wrote that so detailed and she just wrote it like if it was something normal. Its the first book I read that actually has those love parts so detailed and so open, if you know what I mean. But I still liked the book.

Exactly!!I read her other children's books and also Tiger Eyes and thought might be nice too...but it s kind of open and inapplicable. I guess it had a good plot ( some countries have actually banned that book!!)

Lyndsey Neal I loved the book. It was very interesting but i also had thought of her as a kids author

Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaannnnnnnaaaaaaa! LovesHockeyWithAPassion Yep I have to agree with you guys...Still liked it but I would consider it outside the comfort zone, at least for some people I know...

I was ~13 years old when I read this. A friend read it then passed it around among 5 or 6 close friends...I was the last to get it. I was shocked by the content; I remember reading it in my room at night and hiding it under my bed because I didn't want my mother to find out about the content. My mother did find it while cleaning and so began "the talk". It was a great book that I still have the same copy I read all those years ago. I read it again as an adult and still liked it.

Saki2143 I love this book because of the way that Katherine and Micheal have their relationship in the book and that explains my relationship as well -except for the rest of the chapters- but anyway i am in my 4th relationship now. So, this is why I love this book even though I have this book with me now. I still read this book ever since I got it from the library!

Dee the book still shows up in the US on the list of banned and challenged books annually - Judy blume has the most books on the list - I think it has been 4 in the last decade, and 5 in the one before that

Lauren Johnson Yes her children books are so innocent but now I see her as a completly different person
