If your school is part of the NFL (National Forensics League), you'll at least kinda know what I'm referring to. So, am I alone?

I'm planning on doing that next year... Does that count?

Sure! Yay, someone knows what I'm talking about! Regular OO, or Novice?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Iono? (I don't know)

Yazid (Ciel) (plue) ... ... What's that?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

OO? Original Oratory it's where you make speech memorize it and speak it. (Right Leah?)

message 7: by Yazid (Ciel) (new)

Yazid (Ciel) (plue) Tab, you asked Leah for confirmation? Be firm, man/girl. Just kidding.

NO. Just no. Write a speech and deliver it are my interest, but memorizing it? o.o'

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not doing OO this year so I'm not positive. Hence my asking for confirmation.

No no, what I'm trying to say is that, it's okay if you got it wrong because, you know, you learn from your mistakes.

Now that I recalled my memory, I did do an OO-ish speech when I was 10. Believe me, the only reason why I won in the competition is because I am the only one who tried to make suitable gestures for my kind-of-speech.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Ah that makes sense. Oh and at least you TRIED, gestures can make or break your speech.

message 13: by Yazid (Ciel) (last edited Nov 19, 2012 06:37AM) (new)

Yazid (Ciel) (plue) Exactly. ^^ Some gestures could be use any time but others could be use to express a single word.

PS: That competition was held by my religion school (?).

Well, novices don't have to memorize, but varsity does.

I'm thinking of doing an OO and OA about the same thing...for instance you could do an OO on recycling and an OA on instating a local law that every restaurant must recycle.

What's an OA? Your idea sounds good.
