In Memory of Maureen (Mews)

I have passed on the news to the moderator of one of the other UK groups that she was active in.
I am quite sure as a group we will want to send our sympathies to her family.

I'm really upset by this.
Poor Daniel (and the rest of her family)
Edit: That doesn't sound right.. I mean I'm more upset than I thought I would be

I don't know what to say - it's such a horrible shock. Like many, I just thought that we hadn't seen her lately because she was busy - didn't know she was ill!

She was one of those people that didn't talk so much but when she did it was always important and made a great point.
She had a young son called Daniel and a profile picture with such a beautiful smile!
This is her profile;

Maureen used to post the threads about the Daily Deal each day (until Jud took over cos Maureen wasn't online much) - she would often talk about her son Daniel. If you search on her name some of her old posts might jog your memory, Rosen..

Yes, I do recognise her now, but only a passing recognition.
She's got books on her 'to-read' shelf. Ouch.

i remember some quite funny stories she told us about what daniel used to get up to.
thanks for letting us know Emma
my thoughts are with her family and friends xx

It has been a long time since I felt this sad.

Poor girl spent hours vacuuming afterward.
Daniel has just turned three.
I've also been spending some time re-reading the conversations she and I had in PM over the months.
She was always so full of laughter and happiness.

I've just joined to post here. Maureen was a personal friend, she recommended this site to me a while ago, and I've just found the note she wrote me with the details on.
She would have been amazed to know how well liked and popular she was, although those of us who knew her weren't shocked by this!
Maureens funeral was held on Monday 22nd October, and was very well attended, such a sad day.
Daniel is doing well, I don't think he has worked out what's going on (he was 3 on Saturday), but his life is being kept as normal as is possible for him.
Maureen will be greatly missed in many places, from the local community, to the various forums and groups that she was a member of.
Sharron :(

Sharron, thank you so much for finding us.
It's a relief hearing that Daniel is doing well.
It was so sudden! Was it an accident of some sort?
The last she and I spoke, we were hoping to meet for coffee in the near future.

You never know when you won't be able to any more.

Unfortunatley, she had a heart attack. It was very sudden and unexpected, so much so that a heart trace half an hour beforehand showed as normal.
Daniel was the centre of her world, she worshipped him (even after the famous talc incident lol!), and he really is a lovely little boy, all credit to Maureen.
He's been round at mine a couple of times this week to play with my son, and has been his normal, happy, bubbly, 3-year-old self - including tantrums over the lack of sweet purchases in the shop!
The whole family is upside down over this - especially as it was so sudden, but they have pulled together to support Daniel, and are doing a great job.
It is really sad, but it helps to know that so many people cared about her.

Yes, please do. I wish I had told Maureen what a good friend she was, and how much I valued her friendship. I can't now, and really wish I had.

I'm sure she knew, Sharron-ann.
I'm sure she knew, Sharron-ann.

Wishing her family well. xx

We'd giggle for hours at the silliest things.

As many of you know I had the privilage of meeting Maureen a few months ago and she was every bit as special as she came across here on the forum, within minutes we felt we had been friends for years such was her warmth and humour.
She spoke so fondly of the friends she had made here and how much she enjoyed chatting with everyone and having a giggle.
The memory of that afternoon will warm my heart in the days ahead.
R.I.P.Maureen.

On Tuesday October 16th 2012, Maureen Stuart of Tarbolton, Scotland, passed away suddenly. Beloved daughter of Margaret and Hugh. A loving mother of Daniel and a dear sister of Billy. She will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter, in honour of Maureen's love of all animals, dogs in particular.
For her online friends, please let the people that knew her know, as I don't have access to her other accounts.
If you wish to contact me, I am Paul Cluderay, her close friend. Feel free to send a friend request my way.
I am in shock and upset. May she rest in peace xxxxxxxxx
Love and miss you Maureeen
