What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Ok so I read this book a long time ago about an orphan boy that lives in New York, and he finds an old man that is the grounds keeper for a baseball stadium and he lives with him a while before the old man dies, leaving the kid an orphan again and then he hangs out with a bunch of neighborhood kids and unties knots for them and finds out hes allergic to pizza. Any ideas?
