Ashley The Every Year Challenge
Duration: January - December 2013

This challenge will last the entire year. Your goal is to read a book published every year since you were born, or you can choose a year something special happened (ex: marriage, child was born) and read from those years.

This challenge will helps us get away from recent reads for a while and check out the literary styles from different years.

EX: I was born in 1985. So, I will read a book published each year since 1985 (1985, 1986, 1987, etc.) through 2013.

or

EX: I graduated high school in 2003. So, I will read a book published each year since 2003 (2003, 2004, 2005, etc.) through 2013.

Rules:
1. Determine where (which year) you'd like to start. Tell us the year and why that year is where you are starting.

2. Make your list or post as you complete your books.

3. When you are finished with the challenge, post your completed list for a virtual pat on the back and congratulations!

Have fun with this challenge!

April Lyn (aprilallyear) I'd like to participate. I'm going to begin with 2002, the year I graduated from high school. So that would be 12 books for me :)

EDIT:
I just decided that for added difficulty/fun, I'm going to try to find a book from April of each year, since that's my name and all. I've already picked out my first book from April 2002: Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult.

Bitter in the Mouth by Monique Truong (odd but good), Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks (not sure if you're a fan but it's one of his better ones, I think), Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shteyngart, The Frozen Rabbi by Steven Stern (another odd but good), or Tick Tock by James Patterson (actually a good book and quick read - fourth in the series so if you haven't read the Michael Bennett books might want to start with the first one). Hope this helps!

That does help! Thanks for the suggestions. :)

I'd like to participate but maybe I'll start in 1995, when I completed my Master's and moved back to Japan for keeps....let me do a bit of waffling and I'll post when I make up my minds (I'm a Gemini, I am of at least two minds about everything)

One thing the voices in my head definitely agree on: I have too many books so I will have to choose from my TBR.
