Carla - good to hear you enjoyed it - the first feedback I've heard, besides the general book reviewers. Really enjoyed his first two, particularly Kite Runner. I'm looking forward to it. Have you read his other books, and if yes, is this one similar or different?

After reading what you've said about The Red Queen, I think I want to pick it up for one of my travel books too :D



I felt the same way! Classics usually go one of two ways for me. Either I love it or I don't enjoy it at all. Another classic author I discovered last year was John Steinbeck. After reading The Grapes of Wrath, I'm going to have to read all his novels now!
