Christine (chrisarrow) Thread to discuss the novel Feed. Spoilers likely.

message 2: by Christine (new)

Christine (chrisarrow) I can't deicide if I like George or not.

Julia (mizzelle) | 23 comments Just to clarify, is this Mira Grant's Feed or other book?

message 4: by Christine (new)

Christine (chrisarrow) Funny, you should ask Julia (there was confusion over that). But yes, I'm talking about Grant's Feed.

Julia (mizzelle) | 23 comments Ah excellent, good to know. I do have a copy. It just wouldn't count for this challenge alas.

message 6: by MichelleCH (new)

MichelleCH (lalatina) I don't know about George either. I know that I definitely don't like the 'rents. Talk about self centered.

By the way the does the presidential candidate remind you of anyone? From Wisconsin.

message 7: by Christine (new)

Christine (chrisarrow) I actually don't see much difference between the kids and 'rents. I think this is intentional, though.

message 8: by MichelleCH (new)

MichelleCH (lalatina) Do you think so? So far it feels like the three of them: George, George (Buffy) and Sean are not be using one another for higher 'ratings'. The 'rents seem harder emotionally. However, I am not far into the book.

I haven't made as much progress as I would like. Lots of work stuff :(

message 9: by MichelleCH (new)

MichelleCH (lalatina) Oops, it's spelled 'Shaun'..

message 10: by Christine (new)

Christine (chrisarrow) George, Buffy and Shaun don't use each other per se, but they do use tragedy - all news media does when you think about. Look at the coverage of Sandy.

message 11: by MichelleCH (new)

MichelleCH (lalatina) Agreed. We rarely focus on good or happy things. One reason I don't like the news overall.

Just past reading where the rally is sabotaged and there is a close call with the zombies. George seems like she has an awful lot of headaches and takes a lot of painkillers; her behavior makes me wonder.

It seems weird that with all the modern technology and blood testing available that they can't kill all of the zombies. Even using a heat seeking device with the military seems like a basic strategy.
