My two cents... though my current "project" is a model car and while fun not worth posting.

There wasn't a folder for 'Other Crafts', but there is now & it has a model topic. Is that OK? If not, make a new topic in the general folder.

I suggest keeping things simple, ie: members can only use a single piece of 8 x 11 paper or cardstock, with no limits on decorating with paint, markers, etc.
What do you think? (you'd be the judge!)

I don't do New Year's resolutions anymore, haven't for years as they always end up falling by the wayside. A separate folder for the year's projects might be interesting ... the goals ... and updates on how the projects are progressing through the year?

I like that idea. Don't we all have projects we've started and haven't finished or just new projects we would like to start in 2013?

I'm all for it... I could use the encouragement and it would be fascinating to learn what other crafters/DIYers.

(OK, I shouldn't laugh when people point to their rough taping job and then say the mud was too thick... read the instructions on the bucket (add water and stir) I can see where a book might help temnendously to give a person some idea of how properly mixed mud feels and which side of the taping knife to use.

The book has way more in it than I need (basic taping and mudding) but if a person needs to learn skill for doing specialty jobs like curved walls its all there, in addition to several chapters on actually hanging drywall.
I have found that mudding is kind of tricky and fun too. I go for different viscosity's depending on what coat it is. At the very end its watered down so much that I get mud everywhere but it is way easier to get a nice finish.
