Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I am torn with the story of the book. I thought the premise sounded intriguing, yet as I read I was a little bored while I was reading it and could easily put the book down to wander and putz around my house.

I wish that there would have been more about the Aunt, how she figured out things and why she picked Alix. I liked Alix and her crazy free spirited ways. I have a feeling that if I found a magic computer like Alix I would be zapping up things like crazy too, and would be tempted to add an idealized man of one I crushed on. Alix's reasoning made perfect sense to me. When Lord Kendall showed up I was happy for Alix, but quickly the shine wore off for me, there was just something off with Lord Kendall. He was too charming, too perfect, just too much everything.

I was surprised when Paul felt the pull to MN and followed it. I knew when the real Paul met the fake one it wouldn't go well, but didn't expect an out and out brawl. I was also surprised by the jealousy that Paul felt for Lord Kendall and the animosity Lord Kendall felt for Paul.

It was at this point that the story lagged for me. It was just a lot of snipping back and forth between the men and Alix confused with her feelings for both men. Even when Alix and Paul figured things out things didn't pick up. The bad guy was so over the top that I rolled my eyes, but where he was stolen from it makes sense that he was over the top.

I was glad to see how things ended, the epilogue made me smile.
