Alondra Miller Finished Ready Player One and wondered why it took me so frickin' long!! That was such a nice little break from the backstabbing in the GoT series (still love those characters though).

What have you just read?

well, pick up some Dr. Seuss or Pat the Bunny... it still counts :)

...at least that was how i got my reading in. I loved voicing characters to my kids; they thought it was hilarious. :D

I liked it, not really what I expected, but I love fantasy so this was a nice read. I found it to be a bit wordy in spots, and I also kept thinking of The Never-ending story while I read it.

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) The last book I finished was The Sanctuary by Ted Dekker. I'm still plowing through The Talisman right now.

message 15: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller The Talisman has always been my favorite Stephen King book. Such a wonderful, fantastical story. I have reread it too many times to count, and always find a new tidbit of information.

“As his mouth flooded with that horrible sweet purple taste, he could actually see those grapes dull, dusty, obese and nasty, crawling up a dirty stucco wall in a thick, syrupy sunlight that was silent except for the stupid buzz of many flies”
― Stephen King, The Talisman

message 16: by Janie (new)

Janie Johnson I am def gonna be reading the Talisman again soon, but prolly not till after the first of the year. I recently read Tick Tock. It was ok. I think it could have been much better.

Well, as most of you probably know, I am currently re-reading The Talisman. This will be my 3rd journey with Jack. I haven't made much progress yet (80 pages,) but I'm loving every word! I'd forgotten just how much I truly LOVE this book, and why it's one of my all-time Favorites.

Alondra- I recently came across said quote. Isn't it utterly AMAZING?

message 33: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller Just finished A Feast for Crows... gave it 5 stars. I am against the grain... as far as reviews go, and don't care. Just being fair and honest in my assessment. Most people said this book was poor compared to the others, because GRRM did not stay the course. I think this is what made it better. Why should an author do what is expected? It is his tale to tell... let him tell it.

loved this one!

Courtney | 18 comments I finished A Game of Thrones earlier. It left me breathless. I don't think I've felt like this after finishing a book since The Dark Tower. I'm still thinking about it two hours later.

I can't wait to read A Clash of Kings, but I have a bunch of books I need to read first. I'm hoping my husband will get me the rest of the series for Christmas, LOL!
