In the realistic fiction book Yellow Flag by Robert Lipsyte, the protagonists are Kris and Kyle who are both teen brothers. They are both racecar drivers that race in Nascar. Lately, Kris is the main driver, but got injured so he is trying to recover as soon as possible. Kyle is now taking his spot to keep the team alive. Kyle was a good replacement due to him helping the team get up to the top winning spots. Kris and Kyle has a family of car racing. Their father started it and then it lead to them. Kris wasn't doing so good lately with racing. On page 109 (Pages Different on Nook) , " The doctors were pretty sure he could drive in another week." This shows Kris will be racing soon, but still was long for a long time. If I could change a character's life in this book, I would change Kris's. I would stop Kris from so much injures. If Kris was not hurt, he would have been racing on the track making the team win. Also, Kyle would have had more time into music if he didn't have to fill Kris's spot. My wish for character change in the book is for Kris to not be injured, but after all, it is the author's book so his choices first.
